Reflective Labels
Reflective labels combine a brand detail with an effect under incoming light. Vu Thua reviews the artwork, fabric, attachment position and required appearance to develop a construction for your style.
How are reflective labels used?
A change of reflective material can alter the same logo's daytime colour, surface, raised profile and feel. Define the intended effect at the sampling stage. For heat-applied labels, the material and bonding construction must suit the actual fabric. Fine lettering, narrow gaps and small cut-outs need a production review before the final quotation.
Reflective label options at Vu Thua
- Screen printed reflective labels: develop graphics using a suitable print construction.
- Coloured reflective labels and iridescent reflective labels: compare a main colour with multi-colour effects.
- Transparent reflective labels: assess the visible base colour and surface on the fabric.
- Black reflective labels: compare the effect on a dark product.
- Striped reflective labels: review the spacing and direction of the stripe design.
- Silicone reflective labels for dye migration control: assess colour influence using the actual order fabric.
Choose for the fabric and attachment position
A chest logo, sleeve detail and backpack panel can have different size and feel requirements. Trial stretch at the level expected for the position; assess surfaces subject to rubbing on the finished sample. Send fabric from the production order. Fibre composition alone, such as polyester or nylon, does not describe its dye, finish or surface structure.
Custom reflective label development
- Send vector artwork or an original sample, dimensions, quantity and the required effect.
- Review fine details, spacing, colour and position on the product.
- Select a material and process and develop a sample.
- Approve the appearance and trial the sample on the actual fabric.
- Confirm the specifications, inspection criteria and schedule before production.
Information for a quotation
Include width and height, artwork or reference sample, colour and effect, fabric, quantities by design and required dates. Compare the heat transfer label range and reflective products for alternatives where the design calls for stitches or a sewn outline.
Frequently asked questions
Can you develop a reflective logo from my artwork?
Vu Thua reviews the file and actual application to propose a construction. Approve the fine details, colour, dimensions and processed sample before production.
Do reflective labels glow on their own?
They need incoming light to create the reflective effect. Review both the daytime appearance and the effect under agreed lighting conditions.
