Approve transparency and colour together
A single brightly lit photograph may not explain how the label will appear on another garment or bag colour. Describe normal lighting, direct illumination and the viewing angles for your reference sample. This defines the effect more clearly than a product name alone.
Applications for surface effects
- Logos or symbols on fashion garments and sportswear.
- Bag and backpack graphics coordinated with the fabric.
- Collection accents compared with other iridescent materials.
- Lettering that needs both readability and colour-effect approval.
Fabric colour and viewing angle
Place the sample on the actual fabric colour. For a patterned or strongly textured base, check whether the logo remains clear or blends into the background. Compare two samples under equivalent light and angles. Differences between photographs taken under different conditions are not evidence of inconsistent material.
Prepare artwork and sample approval
Send vector artwork, finished dimensions and a physical effect reference where available. Identify the placement direction on the pattern if the effect has an orientation.
- Review normal colour and how much of the fabric remains visually apparent.
- Inspect the effect under the selected lighting.
- Check outlines, fine details and the processed surface.
- Complete the fabric-specific application and care checks.

Frequently asked questions
Will the effect look the same at every angle?
Approve the viewing angles and lighting relevant to the design. A single photograph does not describe the complete surface effect.
Should each fabric colour have an approved sample?
Where an order includes several bases, confirm a sample on each intended colour to agree the appearance before production.
