Product details

PU heat transfer labels display logos and graphics on apparel, bags, backpacks and accessories. Vu Thua develops samples using your artwork, colours, dimensions and the fabric of the order.

What is a PU heat transfer label?

A PU heat transfer label is an option for applying a logo, lettering or graphic to a product with heat. Confirm the artwork, construction, colour and base fabric to select a suitable sample for its position. The photographs on this page show Vu Thua references; order specifications are agreed separately.

Choose a construction around the design and position

Consider PU labels for sportswear, uniforms, fashion garments, bags, backpacks or footwear details. Each position has different needs for softness, stretch, folding and the base material's response to application.

  • Logos and lettering: review line width, spaces and clarity at the actual size.
  • Large graphics: assess the surface feel, flexibility and layout on the product.
  • Seams or folds: agree on positioning and trial the finished assembly.
  • Stretch fabric: define the extension required for the actual application.

Details to discuss for your order

  • Dimensions, outline and artwork layout.
  • Colours from artwork, references or physical swatches.
  • Surface finish, desired thickness and a comparison sample.
  • Construction to suit the fabric and application position.
  • Quantities by colour and style, plus layout and packing requirements.

For a more pronounced raised effect, see high density PU labels. For a printed alternative, compare screen printed heat transfer labels.

Develop and approve a PU label sample

  1. Send artwork, dimensions, colours, quantity, dates and actual fabric.
  2. Review the construction and any artwork details needing adjustment.
  3. Develop a sample and compare colour, outline and finish.
  4. Trial the application on the actual fabric using suitable conditions for the selected sample.
  5. Complete the agreed finished-product checks and approve the sample before production.

Adhesion and washing requirements

Adhesion and washing results depend on the construction, fabric surface, application and use conditions. Send the buyer's test method and acceptance criteria in advance. A result on one fabric does not replace a trial on another fabric.

Confirm temperature, time and pressure for the specific label and fabric. For dark dyed or specially finished fabric, include colour change and adhesion in the sample review.
