Product details

Vu Thua develops screen printed heat transfer labels for logos, lettering and graphics. The construction is selected around your artwork, colours, fabric and application requirements.

What are screen printed heat transfer labels?

Screen printed heat transfer labels are prepared on a transfer carrier and applied to a garment using the heat, pressure and time specified for the approved construction. Screen printing builds the artwork in separate colour layers. It can be considered for brand logos, lettering, symbols and information labels when the design and fabric are suitable.

Preparing transfers before garment assembly gives a factory a separate decoration component to apply at the required position. The result still depends on the label construction, press equipment and material surface; the correct settings must be confirmed by sampling.

Choose the design and colour layout

  • Provide the final width and height, artwork outlines and negative spaces.
  • Identify each print colour and its position in the design.
  • Send a colour reference or physical standard when brand colour matching is important.
  • Confirm how the labels should be arranged on the carrier and packed for the production line.

Small lettering, narrow gaps, overlapping colours and gradients require an artwork review. A digital image is useful for discussion, but the physical sample is the reference for colour, edge definition and the finished appearance.

Applications and fabric selection

Potential applications include T-shirts, uniforms, sportswear, caps, fabric bags, backpacks and other apparel accessories. The choice should account for the fabric surface, stretch, application position and the heat the finished product can tolerate.

For a wider comparison of decoration methods, see our heat transfer labels. Vu Thua reviews the design and material before recommending a construction.

Information needed for a quotation

  • Vector artwork such as AI, CDR, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF, with lettering converted to outlines.
  • Finished dimensions, colour references and quantities by design and colour.
  • The actual fabric or a representative garment sample and the intended label position.
  • Required checks, packing instructions and the date you need samples or goods.

Sampling and production

  1. Send the artwork, dimensions, colours, quantity and fabric sample.
  2. Review print layers, fine details and the proposed label construction with Vu Thua.
  3. Confirm the layout and develop samples as agreed.
  4. Trial the transfer on the actual fabric and assess appearance and adhesion.
  5. Approve the sample, confirm the order and proceed with production, inspection and packing.

Check the transfer before bulk application

Use the temperature, dwell time, pressure and peel method agreed for the approved label. Check positioning, edges, fabric distortion and adhesion. Stretch fabrics, dark dyed fabrics and special finishes need assessment on the actual material. Results on one fabric do not automatically apply to another.

Frequently asked questions

Can screen printed transfers use several colours?

Several colours can be reviewed. Print layers, registration and fine details are confirmed from the artwork and sample rather than from the number of colours alone.

Can I send a photograph instead of vector artwork?

Send the clearest image available with the finished dimensions. Vu Thua can assess what additional artwork preparation or physical sample is needed before quoting.

Are there standard press settings for every fabric?

Settings depend on the label and fabric combination. Confirm them through a trial on the material that will be used in the order.
